Jo Nesbø’s Police, with a print-run of 385 000 copies, is No. 1 in Norway on the official hardcover list. Simultaneously, Phantom is No. 1 and The Leopard is No. 2 on the official paperback list.
Nesbø No. 1 in Denmark and Sweden

Police, the tenth installment in the Harry Hole series, was just published in Denmark and went straight to No. 1 on the Danish bestseller lists. In Sweden, Police is No. 1 at the major online retailer Adlibris.
Harry Hole #10 Released in Norway

On Thursday the long awaited tenth installment in the Harry Hole series, Police, was released in Norway. Aschehoug, Jo Nesbø’s Norwegian publisher, arranged a big release-party with nearly a thousand people attending!
The first print-run was 270.000 copies, which is the largest first print-run in Norwegian publishing history. After only one day of sales, the book went into its second print-run of 115.000 copies.

Danish Book Trailer For Police

Jo Nesbø’s publisher in Denmark, Modtryk, made a fantastic book trailer of Jo’s upcoming novel Police, please see below.
Police is the tenth installment in the Harry Hole series and will be published in Norway on June 6th. The novel is currently being translated into English and will be available later this fall.

Headhunters Best Thriller at Empire Awards

Headhunters, the movie adaptation of Jo Nesbø’s stand alone thriller, was awarded ‘Best Thriller’ at the Empire Awards in London yesterday. Nominated in the same category were Skyfall, Argo, The Raid and Zero Dark Thirty.

Headhunters No. 4 in Italy

John Stamos will star as the lead of I Am Victor, a drama based on an upcoming novel by Jo Nesbø. Written by Mark Goffman, it centers on Victor Port (Stamos), a high powered divorce attorney with a unique view of relationships who says what most people think, but dare not say.

Jo is awarded the Peer Gynt Prize

Jo Nesbø will be awarded this year’s Peer Gynt Prize for his international success and for thus helping to put Norway on the world map of international literature. “I am very happy and honored to receive the award as the year’s Peer Gynt” says Jo Nesbø. The Prize Award Ceremony is held at the Peer Gynt Festival in August.
